If editing work is required, author will be contacted via nominated email address. Works must be in electronic format: MS Word. Feedback from qualified, published author. Quarterly competition; details TBA.
Readers: just do what good, attentive readers do best: read and form an opinion. Tell us what that opinion is by posting a comment. Quarterly competition; details TBA.
Email address for all submissions: nfod59@optusnet.com.au
The site editor will introduce the work, displayed by title, genre, and sub-class. Readers then can choose posts which most appeal to their individual taste.
Our first post is from Australian author D.A Phillips, and is from his novel titled: ‘Streets of Babylon’ (Thriller—crime; futuristic). The story is set on the streets of Sydney (2027), where gang violence holds the city under a blanket of fear. Following the grisly murder of a gang member by incineration—a street preacher is alleged to have set the gang member alight—Police Commissioner Sam Jones is desperate to apprehend the perpetrator before Premier John Stanton demands his resignation. What transpires is a journey into future possibilities, where corruption, drugs, and violence reign supreme, and the boundaries of reality and the divine become blurred.
