Closer, closer, things began to look familiar. First he noticed some of the orbiting planets looked like those he had seen in his school science books. Pluto (no longer a planet), Uranus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn’s rings and its orbiting moons, and finally earth. Good old mother earth. He was home. They had escaped their pursuers. As they entered the atmosphere He could discern var8ious land marks that he knew. Still traveling in their own time and not in sync with that of the world they were in he saw the pyramids of Egypt, stone hinge, the Eiffel tower, the Grand Canyon. He knew he was once again safe at home. A place where he had a connection. Where things were clear to his understanding. He was at peace.
This was short lived though. For it was not his world at all, but something very different.
All seemed the same but was different . Every one looked the same and talked the same, but it was still somthing different. He could not quite put his finger on what it was.
