Septo-Zan was quite proud of himself for coming up with such a brilliant plan. For with the assimilation process he now possessed all the information and memories that Lynn Booth had possessed. With this knowledge it would be quiet easy to portray himself as whom he appeared to be.
He looked at the clock, it was close to midnight. Knowing that John would probably be coming home soon he went to the bedroom and went to bed, so that when john arrived he would be none the wiser.
All would appear as it normally would be. He lay there and contented as he could be went to sleep

Intervention Plan

Come along now, said Xen to Thomas. It is time for us to prepare for departure. Thomas was excited,
Though he would miss Xen he would be glad to get back home to familiar surroundings. Bluey had to agree. Bluey was sad, knowing that he would not be able to communicate with his master in this new fashion that he had acquired. Xen could detect this as well due to the mental connection that they shared. Because of the turn of events, however, the technology had to be removed. Besides they would never remember the experience anyway once their brains had been cleansed of the memories.
They would both be able to return to their normal lives. There was only one problem though, the impact form the last hit that they took damaged the dicidium chamber to a point that they would not be able to travel past warp factor one. Xen would not be able to get them back to earth until Saturday their time. Thomas, there is something that I must tell you. Due to the damage the ship sustained I’m afraid that I will not be able to get you back to your home for at least two earth days. You see, the dicidium chamber sustained a great deal of damage, so we will not be able to travel as quickly as when we escaped the Brogz. The dicidium chamber which provides us our fuel was ruptured and although I was able to repair the damage, much of the vaporous energy had leaked out

Septo-Zan lay in his underground habitat thinking of how he might go about accomplishing his goal.
What possible way could he ensnare the ones that he sought most effectively? As if a light had come on, it came to him. Clear as day, he knew that which he must do,with evil and satisfied pleasure.
He transformed himself again into one of his former victims. This time he became a long haired white Persian cat

Xen having regained his composure went about the business of setting the ship in an orbit around 27/O. Having accomplished this, he then turned his attention to his two traveling companions. I see by the stars that you and Bluey may have missed you supper as it is very late. My replicator could fix you both some nourishment if you would like! “That I would” said Thomas, and I as well said Bluey. In that case come with me. Xen led them to his dining quarters, where upon he began to explain that the replicator was voice activated and was capable of replicating anything that they may desire. How can it do that, asked Thomas. Xen explained that because he encountered many worlds and never knew what or whom he might come in contact with it was best to be prepared.
Thomas was very hungry so he asked for some bangers and mash and a glass of lemonade. Bluey on the other hand was satisfied with just some kibble and a bowl of water. Xen though ordered something the other two found to be very strange indeed. What it amounted to, was a platter of frogs intestines’ called Krag.
Xen saw the expression on the other two dinner companions faces and explained that from where he came from this was considered a delicacy. Neither Thomas nor Bluey said a word. They all sat and began to consume their meals

The Borgz commander Haz was most displeased by this unfortunate turn of events. Though their technology is not as advanced as the Daxians’ surely he could not have missed the target which he sought. However there was nothing to be seen and Haz realized that they had made good their escape. Haz turned his attention to Septo-Zan, whom he had teleported to the ship after missing Xen and #8d. Where have they gone you Splag ,the commander growled. Well sir, I believe that, if I may be so bold………….. Speak up, I am growing very impatient. Well sir, that is to say, it is quite possible that Xen may have returned to his home planet, or perhaps he may have just left this quadrant. The possibilities are……….. “Silence” said the commander. You are about as much help to me now as you were in accomplishing your initial simple mission. Pull up a map of this quadrant and let us see if they have indeed departed. At this command the helmsman did as ordered, only to the dismay of the commander they were nowhere to be found. Septo- Zan this is your entire fault, therefore you will remain on 28/O in the event that they should return. I will search the nearby quadrants to see if I can locate them. Surely their craft sustained some damage, even if they were able to make their escape. The craft could not have gotten that far. (or so he assumed) Upon returning to the mines Septo-Zan infuriated as he was, began to devise a plan of his own. How he could (if the opportunity were to present itself) dispose of both the agent and Xen should they return.

[Thomas had lost consciousness from the impact of the blast from the sion pulsar-cannon.
Xen however was able to maintain control, getting the ships’ warp-drive to engage with only milliseconds to spare. The time laps between the impact and the ascent were almost simultaneous, fortunately the craft sustained minimal damage. Bluey was tossed against one of the bulkheads of the ship, which saved him from any serious harm. He quickly scrambled to his master, checking to make sure that he was safe as well. Thomas was breathing but still unconscious. Bluey forgetting himself began to shout, wake up Thomas, wake up! Still unresponsive Bluey began to try to revive him by licking his face. This seemed to do the trick. Slowly Thomas began to open his eyes. His head was still spinning but he seemed to be alright.” What happened?” Thomas asked. Xen was busy trying to navigate the ship to a safe zone, so Bluey explained. They stayed at warp speed 4 until they reached 27/0 on the other side of the milky way. Returning to normal thrust power Xen finally sighed with great relief. We were very lucky my young friend, very lucky indeed. We narrowly escaped with our lives, one nanosecond longer and we would be no more than vapor, ship and all. Are you alright Thomas? I’m okay, how about you? I dare say If it were not for me being as highly evolved as I am,
Rest assured that I may have succumbed to the same fate which you suffered
